Where there is smoke…? A recent report about D.C. United seeking new “investment partners” did not set off alarm bells among Major League Soccer fans in the nation’s capital. But it probably should have, as an ASN Op-Ed column argues.

    DC United snapped a three game losing streak and kept their slim playoff hopes alive with an opportunistic 1-0 win over the Columbus Crew on a cold, rainy night at RFK Stadium. Luciano Emilio capitalized on one of the precious few chances United could muster, finishing a nifty combination play with Boyzzz Khumalo just past the quarter hour mark of a first half.
